Do CPAs need us? That is the question we have been asking ourselves for years. Financial Professionals thought that affiliating with CPAs and their firms was the answer to their prospecting prayers. For some it has been successful, others have found it very difficult and continue to run into the proverbial “brick wall”. When CPAs began getting licensed, our firm conducted a focus group meeting with CPAs from various size firms. For almost two hours, the CPAs were asked numerous questions in an attempt to understand their mindset as it relates to getting licensed, referring potential clients to us, and possibly selling products on their own.
